-
- 2.6.10 to 2.6.11 (Snow Leopard)
- =================================
- 05.10.2010:
- * update to GIMP 2.6.11
-
-
- 2.6.9 to 2.6.10 (Snow Leopard)
- =================================
- 18.07.2010:
- * update to GIMP 2.6.10
- * fixes a bug which could crash GIMP b, if you click on any scrollbar arrows
- * Python was broken in 2.6.9, Now it's back again
- * GTK+ has to be downgraded to 2.16. There's a strange bug, which causes GTK dialogs (File Open, Save As and others) to
- loose its focus, so you can't acces any widgets in it. Although you could work around this issue by setting focus to
- any other GIMP window (just click on another GIMP window) and then set foxcus back on the dialog (click on the dialog),
- this is rather annoying...

-
- 2.6.8 p2 to 2.6.9 (Snow Leopard)
- =================================
- 27.06.2010:
- * update to GIMP 2.6.9
- * update to UFRaw 0.17. The main new new feature with this release is lens distortion corrections using the lensfun
- library. For more information see the UFRaw website http://ufraw.sourceforge.net
- * updated many of the underlying libraries: GTK+ 2.20, GLIB 2.24, Cairo 1.8.10, pango 1.28
-
- 2.6.8 p1 to 2.6.8 p2 (Snow Leopard)
- =================================
- 26.03.2010:
- * fixed the sort order bug in the filechooser on SL systems. :-) Patch is reported to upstream GLIB.
- * re-added the twain plugin. I removed this because it didn't work on my system, running 64 bit SL. But the reason was,
- that the twain driver of my scanner (Canon 4400F) still is 32 bit only. If your twain driver is 64 bit, the twain plugin
- will work. For Canon users there is the macfile-gimp plugin which now uses Image Capture to get access to scanners and
- digital cameras. If you select GIMP as the app to which Image Capture will send its images, this should work on
- Canon scanners too, since Image Capture supports Canon scanners.
- * added the dds plguing to load and save dds files.
- * added wavelet denoise plugin. This gives very good results because you can adust each componet (r,g,b or Y, Cb, Cr)
- separately and it's really very fast. Now there are two noise reduction plugins: GREYCstoration and wavelet-denoise.
-
- 2.6.8 to 2.6.8 p1 (Leopard)
- ===============================
- 26.03.2010:
- * see Snow Leopard build 2.6.8 p2
-
-
- 2.6.7 to 2.6.8 (Leopard)
- ========================
- 03. Jan 2010:
- * major: update to GIMP 2.6.8
- * back in sync with Snow Leopard release. See changes in section '2.6.8 to 2.6.8 p1 (Snow Leopard)'
- * macclipboard-gimp still includes the functions to copy/paste to native OS X apps, as copy/paste with OS X apps
- is not available in X11 for Leopard (... by default. If you use some XQuartz version, you'll get it)
-
-
- 2.6.8 to 2.6.8 p1 (Snow Leopard)
- ================================
- 03. Jan 2010:
- * Fixed the screenshot, now uses the system utility screencapture. This consumes more resources,
- but it just looks more Mac alike.
- * fixed the color picker in various dialogs (e.g. exchange colors). The picker only works on winodws handled
- by X11. You can _not_ pick a color from a native OS X app directly. just make a screenshot instead
- and pick the color from there.
- * dropped the twain plugin. It's never has worked anyway... use a modified macclibboard-gimp. This will
- allow to grab images from scanners and some cameras (not if you use your camera's raw file format...)
- * got rid of some more dotted files and direcrtories in $HOME: now the following are gone and stored
- in $HOME/Library/Application Support/Gimp: .bookmarks, .recently-used.xbel, .thumbnails,
- .local, .config, .cache, .gtk-bookmarks, .gtk-custom-papers
- * re-added the macclipboard-gimp port to get better access to scanners and cameras. This might be
- further improved in some future release.
